Headteacher's Welcome

Welcome to Howes Community Primary School

Thank you for visiting our school website and on behalf of the whole school community, I would like to welcome you to Howes Community Primary school.  We hope that you find the website useful and informative and it gives you a glimpse into the wonderful world of Howes.

Howes Primary school is full to the brim of amazing staff and children who all strive to be the best that they can be.  Children at Howes experience a range of exciting and innovative opportunities that enables everyone to shine, have fun and learn.  We have approximately 150 children in school from Nursery to year six and we are fortunate to have a Hearing Impaired Unit as part of our inclusive school.  Situated in the heart of Cheylesmore, we consider ourselves to be the village school within the city of Coventry.

The children at Howes display positive behaviour and they have beautiful manners and an enthusiasm and zest for school life. Visitors have commented on the friendly and welcoming atmosphere of all in school. Being part of a diverse and inclusive school, the staff and children live out the values of the school daily as we prepare our children for their future years as responsible and respectful members of the local and wider community with the ability to overcome challenges that they may face in an ever-changing world.

Our curriculum at Howes, enables the children to delve into their own learning, shaping their own understanding as they use prior learning to embed and secure new skills and knowledge. We are fortunate at Howes to have excellent facilities and a modern, bright school which facilitates the children’s learning opportunities.

I am proud to be the headteacher at Howes Community Primary School and feel privileged to be part of a great community family.  If you would like any more information on Howes or you would like to arrange a visit to the school, please do not hesitate to contact the school office – we look forward to your visit.
